GROUP CLASSES IN PROSPECT PARK

A WILD K9 offers GOOD MANNERS group classes in Prospect Park, Brooklyn! These classes are small, packed with information, skills and practice. They focus on combating overexcitement, teaching polite manners and improving your dog’s relaxation as well as focus on you. These classes are good for dogs over 5-6mo.

NEXT START DATE IS September 29th!

You will learn:

  • how to encourage calmer behaviors in daily life;
  • how to settle your dog in a reasonable amount of time;
  • how to communicate with your dog in a clear way, even when they’re excited;
  • politeness and impulse control around food, toys, people and other dogs;
  • impulse control on cue: sit stay, settle down, leave it, let’s go (loose leash).

There are no refunds once the class is paid and there is no rescheduling for missed lessons. Please check that you are able to make all dates and times prior to booking!

GOOD MANNERS

A woman stands in a field with three dogs, two are sitting beside her while one is leashed. The scene is in black and white, with trees in the background.

Best equipment for my group classes is a 4-6ft leash and a training collar (martingale, slip, Starmark or Herm Sprenger prong) or a head halter (Halti, Gentle leader, Heather heroes). Harnesses, flat collars, retractable leashes and long lines are not allowed in this class; but I am happy to help you find the best gear for your dog. Just shoot me an email to awildk9@gmail.com with your dog’s size, training level and pulling habits on leash.
